National Competition Level Participation:

Family Discount:

If a family registers 3 or more athletes the first two are regular rates, and any after are charged half price.

Additional costs:

CFSA Membership/Insurance Fee – membership fees are required by the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association (CFSA) for insurance purposes and is mandatory for athletes, parents, and volunteers. The club will reimburse parent fees.

AFSA Division Fee – membership fees required for all athletes in the competitive program.

CAFSC Membership Fee – membership fee of $15 for all athletes, parents are included in this fee. Associate memberships can be purchased for $5, for other family members and friends, to allow them to work bingo and casino spots for the club.

Competitor Cards – there are several levels of competitor card that are required for attending competitions over the club level. Provincial competitions require that the athlete have a Competitor I card. Junior & Senior Nationals, Canadian Series, and other national qualifying events require that the athlete have a Competitor II card. Noram and other international events require that the athlete have a Noram license. Note: we seldom have club athletes that attend the Noram events.

Lift Passes – A Canyon seasons lift pass is recommended and can be purchased directly from Canyon Ski Area. We also ski regularly at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, but have found that it is not economical to purchase their season’s pass unless you ski there over and above regular training times.

Competition & Training event fees – Each competition has a flat fee for each event (air, halfpipe, or moguls) that the athlete competes in. These fees vary from about $25 to $50 per event at this time. Athletes are also responsible for their own lift passes, travel, food, & lodging expenses, and bib deposits, if charged. Coach expenses (hotel, lift passes, food & travel) are shared among competing athletes on a prorata basis using the number of events that the athlete is competing in.

*** All coaching fees and CFSA/AFSA fees are due upon registration. Other expenses for competitions, training, and other miscellaneous costs, are to be paid when the billings are sent out. Note: any skier that has not paid in full for the winter season by the end of May each year will not be allowed to participate in the summer programs… water ramps and/or mogul training camps. Any skier that has not paid registration and coaching fees from the fall, or has outstanding fees from summer programs, by the first of January each year will not be allowed to compete or train in the winter season until the account is cleared up, or payment arrangements have been made.

Club Fee Refund Policy:

November 15th – 50%

December 15th – 25%

January 15th – 0%
